By supporting the thrift shop with your donations and volunteer hours, you are helping to support the work of The Medical Mission Sisters in 17 countries as they try to help those who have been made poor to experience healing, health and justice in their lives.
Publicize our shop
The
Medical Mission Sisters Thrift shop is currently
selling vehicle magnets with our website address. These 6-1/2 x 6 inch
heavy duty magnets can be placed on your car to spread the word about
our thrift shop and let passerbys know of your support for our mission.
These attractive magnets can be purchased for $5.00 in our shop.
In addition to telling your friends and neighbors about us, other ways to help publicize our shop are to "Like" our Facebook page, sign up for and forward our email newsletter to a friend, and purchase one of our gift cards for a relative or friend.
Donations
Donations are accepted at our shop Monday through Saturday, from 10AM - 4PM. As a 501c(3), we can provide you with a receipt for accepted donations. All donations should be new or gently used. Due to space constraints, we cannot take larger furniture such as sofas, headboards, and beds. We also do not accept computer equipment, or baby furniture and equipment.
Volunteering
We are looking for volunteers to help out in our shop, and offer flexible hours to fit your schedule. Volunteer tasks include: sorting and tagging donations, and displaying clothing. We also welcome volunteers with specialized skills. Please see our Thrift Shop Manager, Sister Joan Foley, if you are interested in volunteering.
